What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is the restoration of normal function for a wide spectrum of injuries, illness or disability to the joins and bones including the spine and soft tissue (muscles, ligaments, tendons). This involves a full and appropriate assessment of the injury and a treatment plan to achieve your individual goals.

Treatment aims to re-educate normal movement through appropriate treatment methods that can include manipulation and mobilisation of joins and soft tissue and exercise based rehabilitation. A key aspect of treatment is the client’s active involvement in their recovery through education, awareness and participation.
